For this week’s discussion forum, consider the three ways you experienced Flannery O’Conner’s short story, “Everything that Rises Must Converge” and provide your critical opinion about which experience (reading, listening or watching) you think was the most effective and why. You might consider your role is in relation to the text in its three different representations (print, voice, performance) and why you prefer one role above another.
OR, relate Thomas King’s lectures to O’Conner’s story and to your understanding of why a fiction can tell us important things about real social relations and problems in ways different from, for example, a research essay.
*Response must be no less than 400 words. This is only a class discussion activity, not an essay. so there is not need for introduction, conclusion or essay format structure.
